Autism fund raiser gets a bounce

Springfree Trampoline in Australia are supporting Autism Queensland by offering a Springfree Trampoline as a prize for the school which raises the most money on 'dress differently day'

Autism Awareness month starts in Australia on the 1st April and culminates ont he 30the with dress differently day.

Autism Queensland CEO Penny Beeston said, "Demand for Autism Queensland’s services was up 40 percent from 10 years ago".

“We know that 1 in 160 children have a diagnosis of Autism, and we’ve seen a real increase in the demand for our services right across Queensland,” she said.

“Autism Queensland receives government support but we also rely on donations from the community to make Autism information, support and outreach programs accessible to all Queenslanders.”

Ms Beeston said Autism Queensland was the only organisation to provide Autism specific Outreach Programs into all schools in Queensland, whether they are State, Independent or Catholic schools.

“Money raised will fund education and therapy for children with Autism; information services to support families and professionals as well as supporting our Outreach Programs, ” she said.

Some (cheap) ideas to dress differently include:

•put your clothes on backwards or inside out
•put your socks on after your shoes
•teachers could wear the school uniform to school
•get the old Superman costume out of mothballs

Spares for your Springfree Trampoline

We often get asked about the guarantee we offer for Springfree Trampolines and we merrily tell the customer all the information they could possibly want know. What is interesting is that in the first 3 months of this year we have not had to respond to a single warranty claim in the UK. Not bad considering there are over 10,000 units out there. In fact I can't remember the last time we had a quality issue.

This is another reason why Springfree Trampolines are different. They are made in a factory owned by Springfree, by employees who really care. The quality of all aspects of the product is really impressive and the engineers at Springfree are constantly looking for ways to improve the product. I will talk a little more about the new gate cleats in a later post which is a perfect case in point.

If you want to buy the safest, best quality garden trampoline in the world, there is only one place to turn - Springfree Trampolines!

A long weekend - but worth it

We really do love getting out there and seeing the reaction of people who approach the trampoline not really sure of what they're looking at. This weekend was no exception at the British Leisure Show. Never have I heard so many compliments about the trampolines in such a short space of time.

It's funny that most of the conversations seemed to follow the same pattern;

Customer - wow that looks great, how does it work?
Me - Brief (or sometimes long) explanation of the in's and outs of the design process
Customer - is it as bouncy as a Springbased trampoline?
Me - Why don't you let your son / daughter have a bounce?
Child - Oh, please can I have a go
Customer - go on then
Child - Wow this is much bouncier than the other trampolines I've been on
Customer - How much are they?
Me - Answer question depending on which one they are most interested in
Customer - Really, that's a lot less than I would have expected
Me - big smile, hand over information or take order

The question as to whether our Springfree Trampolines are as bouncy as the rest is one I get asked all the time. The answer is YES and if you are still not sure, come and see us and try it out for yourself.

If you can't get to see us remember that we do offer a comprehensive mony back guarantee. For more information on this please check out the website and have a look at our trampolines.

Lilliput Play Homes

This blog is obviously about Springfree Trampolines but I really should mention the last of the main product range that we sell at Rainbow, Lilliput Play Homes.

Manufactured in Pittsburgh they came about in much the same way that Springfree Trampolines did. A dad, who was not satisfied with what the market had to offer, set too building his own playhouse and as soon as his friends saw it they immediately started asking for them.

Now Lilliput are distributing Playhouses all around the world and they certainly are a talking point. Playhouses in the UK are typically small sheds, cheaply made and lacking much imagination, and that is a problem. Imagination is what it is all about. If your child's imagination is not is not stimulated they will soon grow board and your small shed will become just that - A small shed. Toys, balls, raquets, and other clutter will mean it's not played in. It will almost certainly become a little dirty and as soon as the neglect gets to the point that a spider is spotted, you might as well not have a playhouse.

One thing Lilliput Playhomes can't be accused of is simply manufacturing small sheds. Their playhouses are beautifully thought out and even more beautifully crafted.

Check out this amazing range of playhouses on our website and if your quick we even have a couple on sale!

2010 website now live

It's that time of year where we finish off a lot of the projects we have been working on over the quieter months and yesterday, one of the main projects went live. This year has seen a complete overhaul of the Springfree pages of the Rainbow website bringing together the themes we have been working on with our off line marketing. We are very lucky to have our own inhouse IT department and Andy Bents, our IT Manager has, as usual, excelled himself with a new and improved website brought online without a glitch. Great job Andy!

The new website also launches our new range of wooden Playhouses, The Woodland Range. There are 3 models so far but we hope to extend it in the future.

As far as Springfree Trampoline goes, you can now buy all models online, including the new revolutionary square SF68 and SF80.

Of course our product range wouldn't be complete without the amazing Rainbow Play Climbing Frames. This years range is certainly the best yet so I am confident there is a Rainbow there for most gardens.

If you have any questions about any of our products please call us on 08444 938080 and you will be routed to your nearest Rainbow sales office.

AAA Sports

Its good to see people being proactive and it certainly seems that AAA Sports are a trampoline club moving in the right direction. They started in 2007 running a small trampoline session at the local sports centre to 23 members and they are now the 2nd largest trampoline club in the North of England with a continually growing membership of over 150 jumpers.

They currently have 10 coaches, including 2 senior trampoline coaches, 1 senior cheerleading coach and 2 coaches qualified to work with disabilities, as well as a trampoline coaching tutor.

If you live in the North East of England and would like to know more about AAA Sports check out their website.

On the subject of websites I we are hoping to launch the new Rainbow website on Monday complete with all the new Rainbow Climbing Frames and Springfree trampolines available for 2010.

I don't believe it!!!

Well, it seems like years since I've seen the sun. You wait for ages and 2 sunny days come along together. What a difference a few degrees makes. The phones have been ringing and climbing frames and Springfree Trampolines have been selling like hotcakes! Lets hope it continues.

The SF80 has landed

I have talked a lot about the mighty SF80 and how large it is but until you stand next to one it is hard to appreciate the difference in scale between it and it's smaller brother the SF68. This is the first SF80 we have built in the UK. 1 hour 15 minutes for Steve is a pretty respectable time for a first effort it think.

Keep you eyes pealed for the new Rainbow website which will be going live at the end of next week where you will be able to find all the information you need about the complete Springfree Trampoline range.

A nice little bit of editorial

I came across this bit of editorial in the March issue of Practical Parenting Magazine.

Bounce Away Boredom

Children gain a sense of achievement and pride as they develop a sense of control over their bodies and trampolines can be a fun way to test out new skills. Just be wary of the type of trampoline your child plays on as some models (Such as those without safety nets and padding over the springs) are notorious for causing injuries.

The award winning Springfree Trampoline features an enclosed safety net to eliminate the risk of bouncing right over the edge and has eliminated the traditional hazards of trampolines: steel springs and hard edges. It also meets the requirements of Australia's peak standards body, although you will still need to supervise play at all times.

These guys obviously know whats, what!

Springfree Trampolines are back at Harrods

After a short break to allow space for Santa and his Grotto, the Outdoor Fun room is back up and running at Harrods and of course the centre piece is our Springfree Trampoline.

Even better, it only took a matter of a couple of hours before they had sold their first trampoline of the new decade.

I will be in Harrods tomorrow and will take some snaps but here is what it looked like last year. We will be going live with our new website in 3 weeks and that will also coincide with a small price rise, so if you're thinking about buying give us a call and beat the price rise or buy online at Trampolines.

Another Springfree blog

Life at Springfree is always varied espacially on the installation side. We build more trampolines than you might imagine. Some in very tight corners, some sunk into the ground, some on roof terrances and some indoors.

Steve is our biggest Springfree fan. He unloads containers and considers it good exercise, manages stock, coordinates deliveries and as often as possible goes out building.

Well it seems we are going to learn a little bit more about life behind the scenes of Springfree in Steves new Springfree blog. He's a creative chap so I am sure it will be an interesting and amusing read.

Here is Steve building the first SF68 ever in the UK.
