Boy Hurt in Trampoline Accident

I hate hearing of the more serious trampoline accidents that happen and today is no exception. The Australian, has reported that:
A boy has suspected spinal injuries after a trampoline trick gone wrong in the backyard of a home at Rosebud, on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula.

Ambulance Victoria paramedic Amir Samuel said crews arrived at the house shortly after 4.45pm (AEDT) and found the boy lying on his back in the middle of the trampoline, suffering severe head and neck pain.

"The nine-year-old boy told us he was doing a front flip when he landed on his head and heard a crack," he said.

"Given the potential for a spinal injury we fitted a neck brace to the boy and strapped him to a spine board.

"He was treated with pain relief through an inhaler and taken to the Monash Medical Centre in a stable condition."

Our thoughts are with him and I hope he makes a speedy recovery.
